Howdee, I'm trying to set up an Edirol UA25 on a macbook pro OS X for a mate, but it doesn't seem to be reading the Edirol at all. I have installed the OS X drivers off the Edirol installation disk, but when I go through the procedure to change the audio settings, it doesn't seem to have the Edirol in the drop down list at all. Even when I have the Edirol hooked up the Mac mic is picking up the input signal, not the Edirol. Plus there are no lights on the UA25, so obviously, it's not being read. I just downloaded some new drivers off the Roland site, so not sure yet if they would make a difference.
Edirol Pc50 Drivers For Mac Free
I would always have been an XP guy, and as far as I'm aware, I don't need ASIO drivers for OS X? Is this correct? I was thinking this may be the problem.
PC-50 Driver Version 1.0.0 for Windows 7 64-bit Edition. This is the EDIROL PC-50 driver for Microsoft(R) Windows 7 64-bit Edition.
I'm using a standard USB connection cable. Could this be the problem? I'll check the applications setup too. The Edirol is powered usually when you plug it into a PC for example. Ive an edirol fa101 which is firewire. Still though, if theres power going from the usb connection you should be getting at least one light on the edirol.
Edirol Ua 25 Driver
If not then the usb port you;re connected to cant support powering the edirol. Definitely check in applications, utilities and open the Audio Midi utility to make sure the mac is actually seeing the edirol in the first place. Now I have a Edirol PC-50 problem When I leave the USB connected and restart the mac, the edirol seems to light up. Anyways, I know in theory that's wrong, but it seems to be in the applications folder anyways, so I carried out a test recording and all seems good. But now have a problem when I tried to hook up the Edirol PC-50 midi keyboard. I installed the drivers on OS X and when I hook up the midi keyboard, it switches on.
But when I go to the applications folder and try to add a midi device, it seems to hang while it is loading, so I don't seem to be able to install it. It asks me to download something got to do with PACE. Sorry I don't have the screenshots etc.
